Hi, my name is Eneh and I'm a graduating 8th grader at Webb Bridge Middle School. I would like to say congratulations to all who are graduating from 7th grade. Some advice I would give to those going into 8th grade would be stay focused on your goals, take advantage of opportunities inside and outside of the classroom, stay healthy, and don't take classes that might be too hard for you. Teachers are a great resource and don't be afraid to attend help sessions or ask questions. Middle school was a great learning experience as not only did I learn in my academics, but I also learned my limits, mental and physical, better discipline, how to switch subjects in a conversation better, and how drama can end friendships. I also learned about myself as I was able to find a group of friends that supported me, and I discovered new hobbies such as running. My favorite part of 8th grade was band class as a whole. During 8th grade our pieces got a lot more fun and we were able to travel on more field trips for band. It was a lot of fun playing these pieces and hanging out with friends during trips, but I was also able to make new friends in band class. The scariest thing about high school is the fact that I'm getting older. I won't be able to learn new concepts or languages as quickly and easily. I also fear the fact I will develop a more jaded outlook on life because of my aging. Though Webb Bridge Middle School has eased this fear I still get "jitters" about it from time to time. I'm looking forward to the new campus at AHS as the concept of moving from building to building for classes is intriguing to me.
